Payment Options
Here at Hill Country Dental Center, we do accept assignment of your insurance benefits, if applicable. The estimated patient portion is expected at the time of service. We do our best to know what benefits are available to you under you insurance plan, but you must be familiar with your own insurance plan. Each plan is different and we cannot possibly know the intricacies of each plan. Dr. Waltrip does not use amalgam (mercury) fillings. Many insurance companies do not cover resin (white) fillings on posterior (back, molar) teeth. If your fillings are down-coded to an amalgam filling, you will be responsible for the difference in fees.
Non-insurance patients are extended discounts for payment in-full at the time of services rendered. We also offer some in-house payment options, as well as CareCredit. Please see our financial options tab for further information.

You will find us on the West side of IH-10, just across from Cavender Chevrolet. This is the view from the parking lot. We share the building with Turney Lighting Company and are located in the left-hand side of the building. Just come in under the arch and you will find a greeting courtyard and pathway to the entrance.

Our courtyard is very inviting and relaxing. The water feature is very pleasant to sit and listen to, if you have extra time before or after your appointment.

Follow the path through the courtyard and you will find our doors. Once you step inside, you will be reminded why we call ourselves Hill Country Dental Center.

Our logo. Originally part of our sign at the old location. When you see this, you know you are in the right place.

Once you enter the door, you will be greeted at the reception desk.

In the reception room you will see a beautiful mural of the hill country that was painted by one of our favorite patients. The reception area was modeled to appear that you are in a comfortable setting, like your back porch, looking over the hill country.

Comfort is one of our main goals at Hill Country Dental Center. We try to keep you comfortable and relaxed throughout your whole experience, starting with the reception area.

This is the hallway leading from the reception area to the treatment rooms. Our digital panoramic x-ray machine is located at the end of the hall. This is a first glimpse of the state-of-the-art technology that we pride ourselves on. It is a reminder that you are trusting yourselves to dedicated, devoted practitioners that utilize all the resources they can to care for you.

Comfort in a high-tech environment. Each room is equipped with a 32” flat screen TV. We use the TV for patient education, as well as relaxation while you are waiting or even during treatment. We have headphones available so that you can hear what you are watching during treatment. The CEREC computer unit is also visible in this photo. This technology allows us to create crowns and other porcelain restorations in one appointment.

Our operatories are a blend of comfort and technology, each room is completely computerized (all digital). Our x-rays are digital, and once taken, they show up immediately on the computer in the treatment room. No more waiting for x-rays to process, or coming back time and again for retakes. The image shows up instantly. With digital x-rays, we are using a fraction of the radiation that is normally required to take a traditional x-ray. The images are much larger and show great detail. We are able to diagnose problems sooner than we would with the traditional, tiny x-ray films. We can also take intraoral photos, which are close-up pictures of your teeth. We can show you all of these images on the 32” TV to improve patient education and thoroughly explain everything we are recommending. You will also find the top-of-the-line treatment chairs very comfortable.
